The 1st meeting of the Italian network on Policy Coherence for Development (PCD) organized by Oxfam Italia Intercultura and ICU was held in Rome on the 27th September 2018.
The meeting gathered 16 participants from institutions, CSOs and Universities actively engaged on PCD promotion and advocacy at national and European level, such as the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, CONCORD Italy, the GCAP Platform, IOM, Save the Children, Caritas, AidS Observatory, ActionAid, Asvis, CINI, University of L’Aquila.
The meeting aimed at outlining the current state-of-arte of awareness and initiatives on PCD at institutional and civil society level, understanding how to create synergies among involved stakeholders.
Enthusiasm and commitment arose among participants to take concrete action and enlarge the network in the next 2 years in order to contribute to and enrich on-going efforts on PCD in Italy.
