The KMOP – Social Action and Innovation Centre in collaboration with Centre Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Central Macedonia within the framework of the European project funded by EuropeAid:
InterCap: Developing capacities together: European CSO-university networks for global learning on migration, security and sustainable development in an interdependent world
organised the InterCap National Teachers Training Workshops to in-service teachers implemented by the InterCap Teacher Trainers Makrogiorgou Georgia and Michlizoglou Chrysanthi at the cities where the 4 Regional Centres of Educational Planning of the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Central Macedonia are based:
- 18-19 January 2020 1ο Regional Centre of Educational Planning, East Thessaloniki-Chalkidiki
- 01-02 February 2020 4ο Regional Centre of Educational Planning, Serres, Serres
- 08-09 February 2020 2ο Regional Centre of Educational Planning, West Thessaloniki
- 15-16 February 2020 3ο Regional Centre of Educational Planning, Veroia, Imathia
The teacher training workshops involved all in-service teachers of both primary and secondary education in the region of Central Macedonia and aimed at enhancing critical understanding of migration and sustainable development in the context of SDG’s through the knowledge, experience and practices of participatory educational methods:
- Open Spaces for Dialogue and Enquiry (OSDE), referring to the creation of open safe spaces for critical thinking and discussion about global issues; and
- Theatre for Living (T4L), drama and theatre as agents of social change
The teachers who are interested in getting informed about InterCap, in becoming familiar with the online training package, which is designed and offered for both online and face-to-face delivery and aims at building the capacity of teachers in topics related to migration and sustainable development drawing on contemporary participatory methods and Global Learning, they can enter register.
