Audit on migration, sustainability and development education in the frame of InterCaphas been finalized in 12 EU Member States and at EU level, where complex methodology was applied. The objectives of the audit were to identify the conceptual links between international migration and other global processes, including sustainable development at national level; indicate gaps within public understanding of migration as well as sustainable development; conceptualise challenges and ways by which development education could be used as an instrument to raise public awareness in national context on asylum, migration and integration issues. The main outputs of this process are:
1. Executive summary of the audit report for stakeholders and decision makers
The Executive summary provides a synthesised overview of the 1st InterCap project activity, where complex analysis was carried out: from 13 national/regional reports on migration, sustainability and development education to EU level analysis on Agenda 2030, Sustainable Development Goals and other relevant documents that reflects asylum, migration and migrant integration processes.
It is mostly addressed to educational representatives and other stakeholders and is expected to inform the project processes and other activities in the following period. The analysis will be used for the creation of a more localised and therefore more effective model for development education, mainly targeted at prospective school teachers. However, recommendations address issues beyond teacher competence, such as institutional transformations, inter-sectoral cooperation and the role of education institutions in raising public awareness.

2. Transnational Report on Migration, Sustainability and Development Education
This report is a part of the project InterCap, which aims to improve critical understanding of migration within the context of sustainable development in general and the SDGs in particular. It includes the cases of the partner countries participating in the project: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovenia, and United Kingdom.
The compiled report encompasses 13 national reports, the EU audit report, a transnational audit report and an executive summary for decision makers. Each partner realised national reports, comprising a state of the art research (literature review) and field work (focus groups and / or expert interviews).
